Well, well, well. Newport Beach is about to get a little airtime on this season of The Bachelor. While the casting that placed Arie Luyendyk Jr. as the lead is getting lukewarm reviews, we’re totally on board with adding some local flavor into the rose-colored mix.
A few days ago, Seinne Fleming of Newport Beach was announced among the 29 cast members for Season 22 and from what we know so far, she’s a solid choice. We can even see her intro now: Cue a golden-lit sunset shot of Newport Beach. Seinne is in a one-piece bathing suit with cool cut-outs, splashing in the water and laughing because life is so funny. She might be standing by Newport Pier; she might not. But she’s definitely perplexed—yet hopeful!—as she suddenly stops playing around, folds her arms and stares at the crashing, cerulean waves of the Pacific Ocean. The camera pans across a honeyed, yellow sky. A voiceover begins, her voice coos: “I’m ready to find love.”

She’s really, really smart.
Seinne went to Yale and graduated in 2012 with a degree in Economics. During her Ivy League stint, she also studied at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for an eight-week Portuguese language and Brazilian history and culture summer program. Currently, she’s an assistant property manager at Irvine Company. Of note: She’s a certified yoga instructor.
She and Arie were once in the same place (but at the same time?)
In April 2016, Seinne studied at the John T. Riordan School for Retail Real Estate Professionals (ICSC) in Scottsdale, Ariz. While at ICSC, she completed a nine-course program to hone her commercial real estate skills. It’s not only a noteworthy feat but also an interesting piece of information when compounded with the fact that our Bachelor Boy, Arie, currently lives in Scottsdale, AZ and works as a real estate broker with RE/MAX Excalibur. From our totally non-creepy research, we discovered Arie’s office is about 5.1 mile from where the ICSC classes are held at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spas in Scottsdale. So, sure, it’s possible with such a small distance between them the two ran into each other at some point in that fated spring of 2016 but it’s not too likely. Scottsdale is a big city with lots of people inside of it, FYI. Seinne is in commercial real estate, Arie works with residential properties and while a pre-show rendezvous would make for good TV, this one seems too far-fetched to be true. Plus, Instagram tells us in April 2016 Arie was very busy with trucks and such.
Seinne is that rare example of beauty and brains.
In 2007, she won Miss Teen Long Beach. There’s not too much more information to be gleaned from this accomplishment except to say that it makes for one epic #TBT.
Her mom is really proud of her and it’s super sweet.
